Display
The Cobra XRS 9945 radar detector is equipped with a 1-inch full-color DataGrafix display. It is easy to read and can be set to various color themes including full color, orange, green, red, and blue. You can also use the dim mode when driving at night.
Detection
The Cobra XRS 9945 can detect a total of 15 different signals. There are seven radar signals include X-band, K-band, Ka superwide, Ku, VG-2, Spectre I and IV+. The six compatible laser signals include Ultra Lyte, ProLaser, Pro laser III, Stalker LIDAR, Speedlaser, and LTI 20-20. You can also detect Safety Alert and Strobe Alert safety signals.
Alert
The Cobra XRS 9945 radar detector also offers voice alerts. This feature will audibly warn you of the type of signal that is detected. You can also visually see what type of signal it is as well as view its strength on the meter. The meter has five different levels to indicate signal strength.
GPS
The Cobra XRS 9945 radar detector is also compatible with GPS technology. This feature is optional and requires an upgrade. However, it allows you to access the AURA database which provides locations for speed traps, dangerous intersections, and red light cameras. You can also program up to 1,000 of your location alerts.
Compass
The Cobra XRS 9945 comes with an 8-point electronic compass. However, if you use the optional GPS upgrade, the unit will provide you with an 8-point GPS compass. This will display your direction using the GPS locator.
