How to Set Up Radenso Pro
The Radenso Pro radar detector is one of the most popular models on the market because of its superb overall design and plethora of features. The high level of customizability that this device offers means that you need to take some time to configure it perfectly. Once you have learned about all of the different settings, you can start to modify them exactly how you want. While you can certainly use the default settings, you won’t get the best possible performance.
Mounting the Radenso Pro
If you want to get the best overall performance from this radar detector, it is important that you keep it mounted on the windshield. This device will be able to recognize potential threats faster through changes in the terrain. Another good reason to mount this device high is that doing so will ensure that potential thieves don’t see it. Radar detectors are one of the most common things stolen from cars, so it’s important to keep that in mind when deciding how and where to mount yours.
Before you start using your radar detector, make certain that you have it facing forward but still perfectly level. If this device is facing down or up, it won’t function the way it was designed to. And while you can certainly use the suction cup it came with, you might want to consider using a sturdier visor mount instead.
Where you choose to mount your radar detector is very important, but it ultimately comes down to a matter of personal preference. One of the most common areas to put this device is close to the rearview mirror, as it is pretty much out of the way from everything else.
Setting the Display Mode
The first thing that you need to do after powering up your radar detector is to select the display mode you want to use. The default display is fairly bright, which provides good visibility at night but also lets others know you have a radar detector. You can choose Dim mode if you want to be able to see alerts while remaining pretty conspicuous.
Smart Dark mode is best for those who have their radar detector mounted on the windshield. It disables the display except for one pixel that will alert you whenever a threat is found nearby. The final option is Dark mode, which will keep the display completely dark unless a threat is detected.
Speed Settings
There are numerous speed settings that you can choose from with the Radenso Pro M radar detector. The default setting is Auto-City mode, which helps to keep false alerts to a minimum when driving in an urban area. There is a low-speed setting that is set to 30 mph by default and a high-speed setting that is set at 60 mph. If you are driving under this speed, you will not receive any alerts.
The faster you go above the speed that you have set, the more sensitive the radar detector becomes. If the speed is set at 30 mph, the device’s sensitivity will reach its peak at about 15 to 20 mph over (45 to 50 mph). You have the option of deciding which speed you want to set depending on where you are driving.
